Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine

It is our great pleasure to hold the 62nd annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology from Wednesday, May 19th to Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 in Kyoto. The venue is the International Convention Center Kyoto (ICCK), where WCN2017 was held in 2017.

About 30% of the sessions will be given in English and we will offer travel fee assistance (travel grants) to more than 100 participants from abroad. Top experts of various fields of neurology from all over the world will give lectures. Please refer to our website for updates on applying for travel fee assistance and detailed information about the programs.

The main theme of this meeting is "the Mission of Neurology - Its Past, Present and Future". An icon of thousand-armed Kannon (Senju-Kannon), who holds important items for the practice and research of neurology, is used as the image to symbolize "The Mission of Neurology". Please join our meeting to learn and discuss the currently popular topics of neurology as well as to enjoy the beauty of Kyoto in the late spring.

62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology
Professor and Chairman
Department of Neurology and Neurobiology Aging,
Kanazawa University Graduate School of Medical Sciences

It is my great pleasure to serve as the vice president for the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology (JSN) held from the 19th to 22nd May 2021 in Kyoto. I would be very happy if I could contribute to making this meeting more successful supporting the president, Prof. Ryosuke Takahashi at Kyoto University.

Currently, needs for neurological practice and research are markedly increasing, as the aging of population is advancing. In this meeting, all people who have interest in neurology, including medical doctors, researchers, medical staffs, and students, get together, and all aspects of neurological diseases are discussed. We will enrich the contents of both scientific and educational programs.

This meeting includes English as well as Japanese sessions. I really hope many foreign as well as domestic participants enjoy this JSN 2021 meeting in Kyoto.
