To submit your abstract you must first agree to the items listed at the bottom of this screen and indicate your agreement by checking the box.

Notes for compilation of abstracts

  • Limits on abstracts
    There should be one abstract per presenter. It is acceptable for joint presenters to submit an abstract jointly. Multiple abstracts from one institution/facility are welcome.
  • Items for registration
    • Presentation format classification (Oral / Poster)
    • Category
    • Presentation title: A maximum of 40 Japanese characters or 80 Roman characters.
    • Presenter: Please indicate only if different from the author.
    • Names of presenter/co-presenters and the name of their affiliated organization (up to around 20 Roman characters)

      *Total number of presenters shall be 21 or less, with total number of organizations to which presenters are affiliated of no more than 10.

    • Abstracts: Please indicate simply the purpose, method, result and conclusion. There is no need to insert a line break between these key words.
    • Language should be Japanese or English.
    • No. of characters for abstracts: The number of characters/letters that can be used in the main text of the abstract will vary depending on the length of the names of the presenter/co-presenters and affiliated organization. Please be sure to keep to the limits stated below (for English submissions the limit refers to single letter (one byte) characters) Abstracts should be no more than 1,600 letters in length. The total, including presenter/co-presenters names, affiliations, presentation title and abstract should be no more than 1,800 letters in length.
  • It is necessary for the head-author to be a member of the JSN, and it is necessary to provide your membership number at the time of registration. Membership numbers are displayed on the address label of the Clinical Neurology journal that is sent to you by post. Persons who have not yet become members should contact the JSN (Ichimaru Bldg, 2-3-21 Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 113-0034, Japan, Tel: 03-3815-1080) and conclude membership procedures before registering for the Meeting.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by the Program Committee. Please avoid writing the name of your affiliated organization in the main text of the abstract, to ensure fair review of abstracts.
  • With regard to abstract content that has the potential to conflict with the personal information of patients, please make your presentation after having gained the informed consent of the patient(s) or their proxy, and make due effort to avoid specifying any individuals in the abstract. It is prohibited to make a presentation that includes information which could specify an individual.
  • The 54th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Neurology Prize for Outstanding Oral Presentation and Prize for Outstanding Poster will be established on this occasions. If you wish your presentation to be considered for a prize, please indicate this at time of registration. (To be eligible for a prize authors should be graduated from an undergraduate course for no more than 15 years at time of registration.)
  • The abstracts will be uploaded and available for online searches. A system will be provided for participants to seek the programs they wish to attend and create their own schedules, etc.
  • If your abstract is selected for the Annual Meeting, the abstract will be inserted as is in the Annual Meeting edition of the Clinical Neurology journal. Please note that corrections cannot be made after the conclusion of the Annual Meeting, so please ensure that your abstract is in its final format before submitting it.
  • The author is required to report applicable COI (Conflict of Interest) by completing the "Conflict of Interest Disclosure" part in the Abstract Submission process.
